So, where do I start?  So much of this wedding is down right magical.  I am not referring to the venue, the lighting, the decor, or the flowers.  Yes, they were beautiful…so beautiful.  But, the story of these two is more beautiful and goes way deeper.  He proposed for the first time around the age of 13.  Yes, 13!!  Here is their story and how they got to this day.

It was meant to be.  Really, it was.

  I may be biased just a bit, because this family is so close to my heart.  Her parents and my husband and I are great friends.  Our families attend church together and hang out often.  My youngest daughter was one of the flower girls!  (That was a challenge!).  It means so much when a couple hires me to photograph their day, and even more special when I have been able to witness their friendship blossom into the sweet love it is today.

They really were friends first.  Actually, she was the sister of his friend.  She was friends with his sisters.  Ok, this is getting confusing!  I will clear it up.  Follow along below:))

 

This was her grandmother’s broach.  Jess wore it on her gown for her purity ball and then today for her wedding.  Seriously!  It was perfect.

 

The relationship between this bride and her mother in law will be a bit different I think.  Growing up, she knew her as her mama’s best friend.  Yeah, pretty cool!

Yep, this girl is this happy most of the time, but especially so on this day.

I have to say, I love watching the groom seeing his bride come down the aisle.  One of his best friends, and now brother in law, lended a shoulder to cry on.

She knew exactly where she wanted to ceremony to be.  Underneath this big and beautiful oak tree.

The bride is the only girl with four brothers.

And, the groom is the only boy with three sisters (and a brother in law:).

She gained three sisters.  Pretty cool:))

And He gained four brothers.  Perfect right?

These guys were so cute!  (The oldest flower girl is my girl:)  One day, before the wedding, she informed me she was saving a dress in her closet to wear for the wedding.  I told her we already had a flower girl dress for the wedding.  She said it was for the reception.  “The bride gets a reception dress, why can’t I?”  Ha!  Where did she even learn that??  Needless to say, neither the bride nor the flower girl wore a ‘reception dress.’  She did get to me to get her a rehearsal dinner dress, so there is that!  If my girl could have a different dress for every single occasion, she certainly would!

How awesome were these?  They were placed in the bathrooms for guests and any sudden needs they may have.  Pretty clever.

No shoes for the ceremony, dances, or photos.  She is a barefoot and beach kinda girl.

These guys are a lot of fun and I knew to expect anything.  Well, we got a theatrical performance of Let it Go from Frozen.

And, for the finale, the bride and groom were perched upon shoulders for a kiss!  It was not planned, it is just how they roll.

Thank you so much Jess and Nathan, I was so privileged to document your day.  But more than that, I feel very blessed to know you and am beyond grateful for the influence and love you have for my girls!  I pray God abundantly blesses you both for your faith and obedience.
