Port St. Lucie Botanical Garden Wedding | Ally & Jerry
I was very excited to photograph Ally and Jerry’s wedding. I loved getting to know them during their engagement session and knew that it was going to be a beautiful Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens wedding. This couple and their friends and family were so much fun! Their wedding party traveled from……well, across the globe. Ecuador, Cuba, Nebraska, Michigan, Paraguay, and Japan. And those are just the ones I remember!! Yeah, this couple must be special!
It was a pretty typical South Florida summer day. Hot! That, we expect and can handle, it was the rain that was looming overhead that worried us. It poured (and I mean poured) through all of the pre wedding shots, the family formals, wedding party, and the first look. They just rolled with it. It was about an hour before the wedding and they had to decide whether or not to set up the outdoor seating. The alternative would have proved challenging and would certainly not have been as beautiful. Her dad, conveniently a meteorologist, decided they were going for it. I can’t lie. I was worried! Florida weather is predictably unpredictable. It would have been a mess if the skies opened back up. But, they didn’t! It was a little steamy after all that rain, but Ally and Jerry’s wedding couldn’t have been more perfect.
The Dress. Simple, elegant, classic.
Beautiful!
He custom designed her ring. Yep, she is a lucky girl!
That isn’t fog you see, it is pouring rain! I don’t think these guys even noticed.Love love love this shot in black and white. She was a beautiful bride!
This is the ‘lily pad’ where the ceremony took place.
You received your reception seating via message in a bottle. Such a cute idea!
Yes, those are llamas. Ally loves llamas! I love how their wedding and details were so personalized. A dessert table with something for every taste!
Yeah, things got a little messy.
Seriously, these guys were so much fun!!! I love the shoe game. Sometimes they were spot on and sometimes…….not so much. And just a note about this candid. I was snapping pics of them greeting their guests in the receiving line. There was a lull in the line and they just couldn’t help but do this!! Yeah, they did it all night! I actually had to tell them to stop so all their pictures weren’t kissing ones!!
Ally and Jerry, it was such a pleasure getting to know you and your family! Clients like you are why I love my job!!
Congratulations and best wishes for many years of fun and happiness!
Hugs,
Krista
